In the 2000s, \u00c9mile Cast\u00e9ja passed on the direction of the Ch\u00e2teau Batailley to his son Philippe Cast\u00e9ja. Flagship of the Cast\u00e9ja family and the Borie-Manoux wine merchant, the Ch\u00e2teau Batailley is managed with the greatest attention. Left Bank, Right Bank,<\/span>
\ntwo strong teams<\/span><\/h3>\n

In the group, Philippe Cast\u00e9ja formed two teams in the field: one for the right bank and one for the left bank, the two banks being different in many ways.<\/p>\n

The team of the Ch\u00e2teau Batailley is the same as that of the Ch\u00e2teau Lynch-Moussas: it is made up of around twenty staff. Didier Chadourne has been technical manager since 2013 and manages the whole of the 180 hectares of the family’s vineyards in the M\u00e9doc, as well as forests. In 2022, Olivier Gourdin joined the team. Olivier Gourdin manages the cultivation of the vineyard. Since March 2023, Hugues Mathieu, cellarmaster, joined also the team. External consultants<\/span>

The Ch\u00e2teau calls on the services of consultant \u0153nologists for the different stages of the Ch\u00e2teau\u2019s wine production, from the pruning of the vines to the blending of the wines.<\/p>\n

Val\u00e9rie Lavigne, a doctor in \u0153nology, and also a lecturer and researcher at Bordeaux University\u2019s Faculty of \u0152nology and a teacher at the CIVB, has consulted at Ch\u00e2teau Lynch-Moussas and at other estates in the group for around fifteen years.<\/p>\n

Thierry Ruban, arrived in 1994, Administrative Manager of estates within the group, manages the accounting, human resources, events and visits, dry matter and wine stocks.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the daily management of the Ch\u00e2teau, Philippe Cast\u00e9ja and Thierry Ruban are accompanied by two assistants : Marie Leuret and B\u00e9atrice Frapp\u00e9, both arrived in 2018.
