Château Batailley among the best wines of France according to the RVF

Château Batailley, the Pauillac with a very typical profile of the great wines of the Medoc appears in the ranking of the best wines of France in the guide of the Revue du Vin de France. It is also given a two-star rating in the honour roll.

The 2019 and 2020 vintages are particularly appreciated. Tasting notes and comments by the Revue du Vin de France:

Château Batailley 2019 : 95

Château Batailley 2020 : 96

Lions de Batailley 2019 : 91

“The wines: the Chateau has admirably managed the trio 2018, 2019 and 2020, all in a different style, but with the common thread that makes it easy to digest and give it a lot of class. Very well built, the 2019 offers a classic nose, very racy, with notes of charcoal and black fruit. The texture is elegant and refined. It will age wonderfully.
Both intense and tasty, 2020 is a masterly success for the vintage in this great vintage, with a wine of exemplary refinement and a straight and pure mouth that stretches very long.”

Blend of 2019 : 74 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 25 % Merlot, 1 % Petit Verdot

Blend of 2020 : 70 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 26 % Merlot, 2 % Cabernet Franc, 2 % Petit Verdot
